EBEAM PhD Students on Erasmus Research Stay at Wrocław University of Science and Technology

15. 09. 2026

EBEAM PhD students are currently carrying out an Erasmus research stay at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST), Poland.

During the stay, they are working on experiments combining electron-beam processing with sensor development and characterization. Their research includes controlled electron-beam exposure of selected materials and sensor structures, microscopy-based experiments, and studies focused on functional changes relevant to sensing applications.

The students are working in the laboratory of Prof. Alicja Bachmatiuk, and their experiments are supervised by postdoctoral researcher Dr. Maria Zdończyk. The stay gives them access to complementary experimental techniques and provides an opportunity to develop practical skills in electron-beam processing, materials characterization, and sensor testing.

The joint research further strengthens the scientific collaboration between the EBEAM Centre at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava and Wrocław University of Science and Technology, with a focus on new approaches to electron-beam-assisted materials engineering and sensing applications.
