A workshop dedicated to open science and research data management was held on 19 June as part of the EBEAM project, led by Tomáš Heryán. Its aim was to introduce participants to effective ways of working with research data in line with the FAIR & Open Science principles.

“Over 90 minutes of hands-on work in sandbox.zenodo.org gave PhD students and researchers from various CEET VSB–TUO teams the opportunity to try creating machine-readable datasets for the very first time, in line with the principle as open as possible, as closed as necessary,” said Tomáš Heryán, Data Steward & Open Science expert.

Participants joined the ZENODO community, discussed proper dataset documentation, protection of sensitive data during peer review or embargo periods, and explored options for open publishing (DOAJ, CC BY, APCs, and more).
