The EBEAM project was proudly represented at the 12th National Conference on Technology Transfer, hosted by VSB – Technical University of Ostrava on March 19–20. PhD candidate Ondřej Sakreida took part in a panel discussion titled How to Build a Sustainable Collaboration Ecosystem Between Science, Industry, and the Community, organized by the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre.

The panel explored effective strategies for bridging the gap between scientific research and industry, ensuring that innovations are not confined to laboratories but are translated into practical applications. Discussions also addressed support for startups and spin-offs, as well as the future direction of innovation centres and technology transfer.

“This was my first experience speaking on a panel. Although I was initially a bit nervous, that quickly passed. I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion—it was open, constructive, and energizing. The entire conference was exceptionally well-organized, from the expert talks to the panel sessions. I believe it provided the audience with valuable perspectives on the future of technology transfer,” Sakreida shared.

The prestigious event was held under the auspices of Transfera.cz and supported by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre (MSIC), and the REFRESH project, which focuses on the transformation of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The conference welcomed around one hundred key stakeholders from across the Czech technology transfer landscape, including representatives from academia, business, public administration, and innovation centres.
