EBEAM Captured Expert Attention at DSL2025

The EBEAM project was represented at the 21st International Conference on Diffusion in Solids and Liquids (DSL2025), held in June in Naples, Italy. Professors Mark Rümmeli and Alicja Bachmatiuk, the principal investigators of EBEAM, co-organized a dedicated session of the conference — Special Session 11: Innovative Characterisation Techniques for 2D Materials and Beyond.

Session SS11 enabled valuable scientific exchange, the establishment of new research contacts, and once again confirmed the growing international impact of the ERA Chair project EBEAM in the field of electron beam characterisation and advanced materials research. The session opened with a keynote talk by Professor Bachmatiuk titled Exploring Bottom-Up Synthesis and Characterization of 2D Transition Metal Carbides, presenting research on MXene-like materials synthesized via CVD and characterized in situ using electron beam techniques.

Among the invited speakers was also Szymon Abrahamczyk from the EBEAM team. “It was a great honor to present our research and represent VSB–TUO. I truly value the inspiring discussions and new collaboration opportunities within the EBEAM project,” said Abrahamczyk.

The conference brings together participants from both academia and industry, creating a stimulating environment for discussions, knowledge sharing, and fostering new collaborations.
